Zoiper for Android and iOS
Prerequisites
Before you start, you need to know your VoIP username, password and the server that your number is connected to. You can do this from your Goldfish.ie account, by clicking My Goldfish, then “Your Numbers”, then the telephone number that you wish to connect to. The VoIP username and VoIP password are near the bottom of the page, in a section entitled VoIP Settings.
For Android
The app is currently labelled “Zoiper IAX SIP VOIP Softphone” in the Play Store.
Your Username and Password can be found on Goldfish.ie once you click on your phone number within the “Your Numbers” section of your Goldfish control panel.
Once downloaded you will need to click Agree and Continue
On the next screen it will ask if you want to pay for it. You can click skip if you don’t want the premium version. And then click Yes.
In the first screen with the green Create an Account button, the username will be your VoIP username@sbc.goldfish.ie (e.g. 1000123456@sbc.goldfish.ie) and the password is your VoIP password (please note the password is case sensitive).
On the next screen with hostname or provider, you can enter sbc.goldfish.ie again.
Tick the box for “my provider requires authentication” and enter the VoIP username again. No outbound proxy and click next.
SIP UDP should go green. click it, click finish, and then allow all of the permissions and then you’re done.
For iOS
In the iOS App Store the Zoiper app is labelled as “Zoiper Lite voip soft phone”
Once you have installed the application, run the app.
Click on the “Settings” option found in the bottom right of the screen
Once you have the Settings open click into the “Accounts” tab
Tap on the “+” in the top right of the screen to create an account
Press “Yes” when asked “Do you already have an account”, then select “Manual configuration”
- Choose the account type “SIP Account”
- Set “Account name” to anything you wish
- Set “Domain” to sbc.goldfish.ie:8060
- Set “User name” to your VoIP Username
- Set “Password” to your VoIP Password
- Set “Caller ID” to your Goldfish Number
- Set “Auth Username” to your VoIP Username
Once all the fields are entered, click on the “Register” bar on the top of the screen
